A graduate of the Medical University of Białystok, Faculty of Medicine in 1975. Since completing his studies, he has been employed at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the Medical University of Białystok, with first and second degree specialization in internal medicine, currently as a senior assistant. PhD in 1982: "The influence of somatostatin on the hemostasis system" (supervisor - Prof. dr hab. Antoni Gabryelewicz). Scientific internships at Schnelzen Krankenhaus - Hamburg 1983, The Wellesley Hospital - Toronto 1986, training stays in 1992 and 1994 at gastroenterology centers in the USA (North Carolina and Tennessee) organized by the Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship, postgraduate courses in interventional endoscopy in Hamburg, Amsterdam, Budapest, Katowice and several times in Brussels. Worked at Baptist Medical Hospital in Bangalore, India 1997. Organizing and participating in the so-called "White Sundays" in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

Clinical Interests:

• Endoscopic diagnosis and therapy (first sphincterotomy of the ampulla of Vater and placement of a biliary tract prosthesis performed at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the Medical Academy of Biliary Medicine - 1986)
• Beginning of abdominal ultrasound examinations at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the Medical Academy of Biliary Medicine (1982)
• Construction of a device for crushing intrabiliary deposits
• Co-author of a device for applying rubber band ligations to hemorrhoids - removal of hemorrhoids
• Author and co-author of several medical articles

A graduate of the Medical University of Białystok, Faculty of Medicine, in 1982. During his internship, he was employed at the Neurosis Clinic of the Medical Academy, and then from 1984 to 1998 at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the Medical Academy, most recently as an assistant professor. From 1999 to 2000, he worked at the Independent Public Healthcare Facility in Mońki as the director and head of the Internal Medicine Department. From May 2000, he was deputy head of the Internal Medicine Department with a gastroenterology profile at the Medical Center of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Białystok, and from 2010 to 2023, head of that Department. Doctorate - 1987 "The Effect of Changes in Trypsin Activity in the Duodenum on Pancreatic Secretion in Humans" (supervisor: Prof. dr hab. Antoni Gabryelewicz). Scientific and training internships in gastroenterology centers: Universite Libre - 1988 Brussels, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, USA 1992-1993, postgraduate training courses in diagnostic and procedural endoscopy in Katowice, Budapest. Study of Management of Health Care Organizations at the Warsaw School of Economics - 2000.

• First Degree Team Award of the Rector of the Medical University of Bialystok for scientific achievements in 1990 - 1991.
• Award for Young Scientists awarded by the European Pancreas Club
